Craigan: Happy we’re back with a win

Tuesday, October 10, 2017

Under 20s manager Stephen Craigan was happy to see his side bounce back to winning ways during a tough encounter with Falkirk.

Following last week’s postponed clash with Accies, the youngsters were forced to wait for the chance to bounce back following the defeat to Hearts.

And the Northern Irishman, who was generally pleased, also admitted that his side lacked a cutting edge going forward on a cold evening at the Falkirk Stadium.

Generally we’re pleased to win the game and I thought in the first half our shape got the better of them and we moved the ball well but without a real end product.

Speaking to MFC TV at full time, Craigan said: “Generally we’re pleased to win the game and I thought in the first half our shape got the better of them and we moved the ball well but without a real end product.

“At times we struggled to get in behind their midfield, we had lots of the ball at the back and were moving it well down the outside of them and we had the penalty miss too.”

He added: “The first half was better than the second half and then it was a mistake from Falkirk which gifted us the game, but I’m pleased we’re back to winning ways.”
