Dallas in the middle for Tynecastle trip

Referee for Saturday’s Ladbrokes Premiership clash with Hearts at Tynecastle is Andrew Dallas.

It will be Andrew’s first Motherwell game of the season, after the 34-year-old took charge on three occasions last term.

The first was a goalless draw against Dundee before a 2-0 win over Partick Thistle in November.

His most recent ‘Well appointment was in this very fixture, meaning Dallas has officiated two consecutive Motherwell/Hearts clashes and three in three seasons.

The previous game, which was played at Fir Park, ended 3-0 in favour of this weekend’s opponents. The Scot also oversaw a huge 1-0 victory for Mark McGhee’s side against Hearts at Tynecastle in the 2015/16 season.

With Hearts just one spot above the ‘Well before that game, it was a massive win in solidifying fifth spot as the season was coming to a close.

Son of famous referee Hugh Dallas, Andrew takes charge of his sixth Motherwell game today.

So far he has dished out twenty-two yellow cards and one red, when Carl McHugh was sent for an early bath against Hearts back in February. In total, Dallas has booked ten Motherwell players.

He will be assisted by Graeme Stewart and Stuart Hodge with Alan Newlands on Fourth Official duties.
