Robinson: Important three points

Saturday, September 30, 2017

Stephen Robinson admitted that this afternoon’s victory over Partick Thistle is all the more important ahead of the upcoming international break.

And the ‘Well boss hailed his side’s second half performance as they controlled proceedings at Fir Park from the first whistle.

Speaking to MFC TV at full time, Robinson reflected on his sides fourth win in the last five homes games.

It’s always important to go in to the international break with three points because it leaves the club on a high.

“It’s always important to go in to the international break with three points because it leaves the club on a high,” the Northern Irishman said.

“I thought we started the game really well and after 20 minutes we should have been two or three up and then we just took our foot off the gas slightly.

He added: “We gave them a wee rattle at half time, got them going again and I thought the second half performance was excellent.”
