Lifelong Learning

At Fir Park we are passionate about lifelong learning. We believe that the power of football, and in particular, Motherwell Football Club can provide the motivation for people to engage with lifelong learning programmes that can profoundly change their lives for the better.
We are now developing projects which are designed to educate, and motivate, allowing learners of all ages the opportunity to discover for themselves their aptitudes, abilities, and skills. Ultimately this raises self esteem and develops a positive approach to life’s many challenges.
Our first major development in this area has saw our fruitful partnership with North Lanarkshire Council’s LogintoLearn team provide for two new learning centres within the stadium, in the Davie Cooper Stand, and the Phil O’Donnell Stand.
The new Centres staffed by both the Council’s LogintoLearn team and Motherwell FC employees will deliver IT qualifications such as EqualSkills and the European Computer Driving Licence helping to put people back in to employment, or further education.
If you would like more information on our lifelong learning initiatives, or becoming a partner with us please telephone Charlie Bennett on 01698 239926 or email community@motherwellfc.co.uk.
