What is RSS?
RSS (Really Simple Syndication) is a simple and effective way to keep updated automatically on your favourite website or websites.
The traditional way is to log on to your favourite site such as motherwellfc.co.uk and then access the latest news by looking at a variety of pages. But with RSS this is done for you through a single source – an RSS reader.
What is an RSS Reader?
There are a number of RSS readers available for download on the web or for a free web-based subscription. The reader allows the user to view the RSS feed from the respective website.
How do I use RSS?
RSS is simple to use and can be done in one of two ways. One option is to install an RSS Reader as listed above. Once you have installed the reader to your machine you then just add the different news feeds into your reader.
In the case of this site you need to paste http://www.motherwellfc.co.uk/feed into the reader to start receiving the latest news updates. You can also choose to view feeds via a browser such as Safari (on a Mac) or Firefox. These browsers allow you to add the feed as a live bookmark.
Using RSS feeds on your site
Fans may use the club’s RSS feed as part of a website, subject to our terms and conditions. However, we do require that the proper format and attribution is used when content appears. The attribution text should read “Motherwell FC” or “From motherwellfc.co.uk” as appropriate. Please read our terms and conditions for full details on attribution.
