What if you could have a second place to call home?

    Habit.

Many of you have been coming to Fir Park for many, many years. Some of you have been with us for a while. Others might just be starting their love affair with the club, or you might be bringing along your next generation to get them hooked on the ‘Well.

We all have the things we do on matchday. Call them habits or, for most, superstitions. The same routine. The same breakfast. Wearing the same top if we won the week before. Take the steps up to the stand two at a time. The same seat for years on end. Don’t leave that seat for any reason until the half-time or full-time whistle goes. And so on.

You’ll have your habits. Whatever they are, let’s keep them going into the 2019/20 season.

Over 2,500 Motherwell fans have already decided to keep their traditions going for the forthcoming campaign. We had 4,300 commit to a season ticket for 2018/19 – and we want to try and surpass that record-breaking number again this year.

Back youth development with the Well Lottery

Back youth development with the Well Lottery

Want to help fund the future stars at Motherwell Football Club, and also be in with a chance of winning £25,000?

Our Well Lottery allows you to do just that, backing the next young talent rising through the ranks at the club and being in our weekly draw.

Priced at £1 per entry, we’ve also got smaller prizes of £1,000 and £25.

HOW TO JOIN THE WELL LOTTERY

To join the Well Lottery, you can now choose one of the following options:

    • Sign up online here
    • Fill in the lottery leaflet provided and return via the freepost address provided to Unity.
    • Download a lottery leaflet from the Well Lottery website and return to Unity by post.

Once you have signed up, you will receive a letter welcoming you to the lottery which will tell you your lottery numbers. You will then be entered into the draw for as long as you wish to play.

HOW DOES THE WELL LOTTERY WORK?

For as little as £1 per week, you’ll have the chance to win up to £25,000. At least 50p of every £1 played goes straight to youth development but most importantly, there are no ongoing costs to the club.

    WHERE DOES THE MONEY GO?

Every £1 is split three ways. At least 50p of every £1 comes straight to Motherwell FC, which is put towards the club’s youth development and academy programme. The other 50p covers the cost of the administration of the lottery, and goes towards the fantastic prize fund.

    HOW DO I WIN?

Every player of the Well Lottery will be allocated a six-digit lottery number for every entry they wish to play. This idea is to match your number with the winning number that is drawn on a Saturday in the correct sequence. Every entry in the Unity lottery has an equal one in 63 chance of winning a prize.

    For example:

    325764 – random winning number

    326574 – your lottery number

This is a three-number match, winning five entries into the next draw.

HOW DO I KNOW IF I HAVE WON?

Players are notified automatically, and prizes sent out by post, so you do not need to claim your prize. If you would like to check the winning number each week, these can be found on Unity’s website and here on the official Motherwell FC website.

    WHAT IS UNITY?

Unity is a platform on which charities run their own fundraising lottery. It is run by an external lottery manager, Sterling Lotteries, who administer hundreds of charity lotteries for clients across the country.

    Motherwell add Jermaine Hylton

    Motherwell add Jermaine Hylton

Jermaine Hylton is the latest addition to the Motherwell squad for the 2019/20 season.

The English winger signs from Solihull Moors on a two-year deal and follows Declan Gallagher, Liam Polworth, Jake Carroll and Casper Sloth in joining the ‘Well.

A former youth player with Birmingham City, 26-year-old Hylton scored 15 goals in the National League with Solihull Moors last campaign.

Hylton is quick, tricky and with an eye for goal. Over and above his goal haul from the wing, he also created a number of goals for the Moors.

”Jermaine helps us boost our forward options for next season,” manager Stephen Robinson said of his latest capture.

”He’s dynamic, sharp and knows where the net is too. He had an excellent time in a very good Solihull side and we hope he can replicate some of that form here.

”We’ve added five new faces and our priority remains adding more reinforcements at the top end of the park in terms of strikers and wingers.”

Hylton played his first top team minutes at Redditch United in 2012, netting 41 goals and getting 20 assists across two seasons, before being picked up by League One side Swindon Town.

Playing 45 times for the Robins, he switched to Solihull Moors in 2017. After overcoming injury, his stock started to rise in the National League, bringing him to the attention of the Steelmen as he played a key part in his team finishing second in the division ahead of Salford City.

“It’s exciting for me to take the next step in my career with Motherwell,” Hylton said on joining the club.

“I’ve learned a lot already about what it’s like to play in Scotland and the different challenges it will present.

“I hope I can bring something different to the team in the new season and help the club make an impact in the league and cups.”

    Betfred Cup opponents confirmed

Motherwell will face Greenock Morton, Queen of the South, Annan Athletic and Dumbarton in the 2019/20 Betfred Cup group stage.

The Steelmen were top seeds in Tuesday’s draw and will pit their wits against the four sides in July.

Fixture dates and venues will be announced shortly. Motherwell will play two games at home, and two away.

Five potential matchdays are available on 13/14 July, 16/17 July, 20/21 July, 23/24 July and 27/28 July.

Stephen Robinson’s side progressed from their group in 2018/19, topping a pool featuring Queen of the South, Stranraer, Edinburgh City and Clyde.

Progression to the quarter-finals followed after defeating Livingston, before the run was ended in a tight game at Hearts.
