Motherwell showed quality in abundance as they recorded a 7-0 victory against Glasgow Women on Wednesday night.
Summer signing Brogan Anderson netted four goals, with London Pollard, Kodie Hay and Kaela McDonald-Nguah getting on the scoresheet.
Motherwell started on the front foot and got the opener on 17 minutes. Georgie Rafferty sent a long ball towards winger Gill Inglis, who controlled and seen her effort rattle of the post but Pollard was on hand to finish.
It would be 2-0 not long after the 30 minute mark. After a Motherwell attacked seemed to be over, the ball fell to B.Anderson who had a go from 25-yards out and found the back of the net for her first of the night.
Two minutes later, it was three. Hay cut inside from the left wing and laced a strike into the top corner with the keeper having no chance of reaching it.
Half time, 3-0 Motherwell.
Motherwell looked to continue where they left off and B.Anderson had her second of the game moments into the second period.
Hay again threatening on the left wing had a shot which the Glasgow Women keeper saved but B.Anderson followed in for a comfortable finish.
B.Anderson got her hat-trick on 53 minutes. A defensive mix up from Glasgow Women and the new signing pounced to finish into the net. 5-0.
On 58 minutes, it was six. B.Anderson was on hand once again as she found the back of the net after a goalkeeping error.
McDonald-Nguah got her name on the scoresheet for the second time in three days. Substitute Jemma Hughes retained possession on the edge of the box, laid the ball to the side to McDonald-Nguah who finished emphatically to round off a good nights work for Paul Brownlie’s team.
