Kevin van Veen signed on for Motherwell in the summer ahead of the 2021/22 season.

The Dutch striker, who has been nicknamed “the budget Bergkamp” after the former Ajax and Arsenal legend,  started his career in his native country with PSV Eindhoven.

He moved to English football in 2015 and was last with Scunthorpe United in EFL League 1, where he previously worked with manager Graham Alexander during his first spell.
