Having amassed 130 caps for the Scotland national team, re-signing Megan Burns was a clear demonstration of ambition from Motherwell boss Eddie Wolecki Black.

Burns earned her first senior cap at the age of 16 and during her career has represented Kilmarnock, Glasgow City, Liverpool, Celtic and Rangers – winning five SWPL titles during her time with City.

Despite her diminutive stature, Megan is a combative midfielder, strong in the tackle and just as capable of bursting forward to support the attack as she is to drop in and cover for the defence.

Since arriving at ‘Well, she has chipped in with goals too and has become renowned for her excellent long-distance shots.
