When we hoist the Well Society flag above Fir Park ahead of our SPFL fixture against St Mirren it’ll signal the start of Well Society Day.

To kick off the countdown to the match on Saturday 30 March we’re today launching our hospitality package draw and giving you a peek at what’s in store on the day.

We’ll be celebrating Motherwell FC as a club for everyone, and inviting those who make the club what it is to take a bow. We’ll also:

• give Junior Steel members and their St Mirren counterparts the chance to run out with their heroes as mascots
• celebrate both clubs’ commitment – as fan-owned clubs – to their respective communities, by inviting a community champion to lead each team onto the pitch
• have an opportunity for youngsters to take part in team announcements and pitchside activity
• ensure Steelman and Raven Steel make an appearance to entertain the kids
• raise money through a bucket collection for the Society
• be on hand to answer your questions about membership and the direction of travel of the Well Society

Bevis Mugabi has been called up by Uganda for two Friendly matches in March.

The Cranes take on Comoros and Ghana and will be based in Morocco as they ramp up their preparations for their World Cup Qualifiers in June.

Comoros v Uganda, Friday 22nd March 2024.

A poor goalscoring record in Scotland meant supporters questioned Theo Bair’s arrival in August.

One goal in 34 games for fellow Premiership side St Johnstone didn’t fill Motherwell fans with confidence or belief that Bair was up to the task of replacing 29 goal man Kevin van Veen.

Fast forward seven months, everything has changed. Spending time with the analysis department, watching some of the best strikers on the planet, has seen him soar to new heights.

Taking bits from strikers like Victor Boniface and Benjamin Šeško, has seen his goal record improve drastically and he has firmly became one of the most important, and exciting, players in the Motherwell squad.

Blair Spittal has won February’s cinch Premiership player of the month award. 

The midfielder, who has also won the club’s player of the month award, becomes only the third Motherwell player in five years to win the accolade.

“It’s been a much more positive month for the team,” Blair Spittal said.

“That is always the main thing but obviously, it’s nice to be personally recognised.

“I’ve been loving my football and think the system has really worked for me. We don’t want to stop here, the manager has been big on that.

“We want to use the momentum we’ve built up in the remaining games. There’s a lot of football still to be played and we want finish strongly.”

Blair Spittal has been named our G4 Claims player of the month for February. 

Scooping the award for the first time since his arrival in 2022, Spittal had an electrifying month on the pitch.

Although missing his first match of the season against Hearts at Tynecastle, he kicked off the month by finding a on-rushing Theo Bair as he levelled the game against Kilmarnock.

He then found the back of the net in the first half against Ross County, cutting into the box and lashing in off the post.

He then scored a goal of the season worthy strike from 25 yards, curling a beauty into the top corner in the second-half, before rounding off his a rampant display by setting up Jack Vale to make it 5-0.

Spittal opened the scoring against Celtic with a sublime strike from the edge of the box to beat Joe Hart and then, four days later, struck another goal of the season contender against Livingston, when his volley flashed into the top corner.

Three assists and four goals in total for February, a worthy winner of our player of the month.

Full-back Ewan Wilson has returned from his loan at Stirling Albion and has joined Beith Juniors on loan until the end of the season. 

Wilson made 14 appearances at Stirling Albion and now joins the West Of Scotland side for the remainder of their campaign.

Adam Devine has been called up by Scotland’s Under 21 side. 

Arriving on loan on deadline day in January, Devine made his debut for the club against Ross County. Since then, the young full-back has made nine appearances, setting up striker Jack Vale to pull a goal back against Morton. Devine also scored his first professional goal against Aberdeen.

Scotland have one match this month, on home soil, against Kazakhstan on Thursday 21 March in Paisley.

We can confirm the date and details of our end-of-season awards dinner which will take place on Saturday 4 May at Dalziel Park Hotel.

A number of awards will be up for grabs on the night recognising top performers across the first team, women’s team and the academy.

Hosted by Tam Cowan, the night will consist of live entertainment, 3-course meal and will kick-off at 7pm with first-team players and coaching staff in attendance.

Individual places are available at £72 per person with tables available in multiples of 10 or 12.

Moses Ebiye has joined the club on a deal until the summer of 2025. 

The striker was most recently playing in Norway with Aalesund, where he departed the club in January.

Ebiye burst onto the scene with Nigerian side Akwa United before he moved to Lillestrøm in Norway. He scored three goals in his time there before moving to HamKam.

He scored four goals and assisted on five occasions in 20 appearances before moving to Tromsø in 2021. The 26-year-old scored a further 12 goals an assisted nine times in 43 games and then joined Aalesund in 2022.

The striker has 19 goals in the Norwegian top flight and has now arrived in Scotland, joining the club subject to international clearance.

“This has been a long and arduous process,” manager Stuart Kettlewell said.

“A lot of people behind the scenes at the club have had to work very hard but we’re very excited to see what Moses can do in his time at the club.

“His goalscoring record in Norway is very impressive and we feel that is something that will benefit us as we go into the remainder of the season.”

“I am very happy to have joined the club,” Moses Ebiye added.

“It has been good training and getting to know the team. I hope I can make an impact in my time here.”

Lennon Miller has been named in the latest Scotland Under 19 squad. 

The 17-year-old has been an integral part of Stuart Kettlewell’s side and will jet off to Italy for the latest round of Under 19 matches.

Scotland have three games this month in their EURO Qualifying campaign, facing Italy on Wednesday 20 March first. They then take on Georgia before rounding off their trip with a match against Czech Republic.
