Tom Sparrow was the second new addition of the 2024/25 squad, signing on an initial two-year deal having left Stoke City in the summer.

He came through the ranks with Wolves, he moved to Stoke at the age of 14 and moved through the age groups at a rapid pace. Having been handed his first-team debut in 2022, Sparrow went on loan to Hamilton Accies, Chester and Telford United, gaining valuable minutes and experience in the process.

After a strong start to life in the claret and amber, Sparrow extended his deal at Fir Park until the summer of 2027, impressing manager Michael Wimmer as both a wing-back and a centre-midfielder. The 22-year-old scored the winner at Ibrox in March 2025, securing the Steelmen’s first back-to-back wins in Govan since 1961, and also finished as the joint top-goalscorer in his maiden season with six goals.
