Taking inspiration from our kit 100 years ago, our new shirt features vertical stripes. These subtle claret pinstripes go vertically on the front of the top only.

Our famous claret band returns in the middle of the top, displaying our main front-of-shirt sponsor G4 Claims.

In other key details, the top is a buttoned collar, with white, claret and amber all present on collar and cuffs.

The shorts have similar detail present, with claret remaining the predominant colour.

This year’s socks are mostly amber, with MFC displayed in new claret font on the back. The top of socks display similar details to that of the the collar and cuffs for consistency.

Motherwell FC Community Trust Girls squads are actively recruiting keen and enthusiastic players to join across a variety of age categories.

kwiff, the super-charged sports betting service, has been unveiled as our new official betting partner and back-of-shirt sponsor ahead of the 2025/26 Scottish Premiership season in a two-year agreement.

This is kwiff’s debut football partnership in Scotland and signifies a big step forward as the brand continues to amplify its UK presence. As part of the agreement, kwiff’s branding will feature on the back of the club’s home and away kits, along the bottom.

Former Motherwell first-team performance therapist Callum Davidson raised over £2135 for the Motherwell FC and Wigan Athletic Community Trust’s after completing the Birmingham half-marathon. 

A lecturer in sports therapy at Birmingham City University, Davidson sought to challenge himself by running the Birmingham half-marathon to raise awareness of his own mental health journey whilst giving back to the communities and mental health projects that supported him at both the Motherwell FC and Wigan Athletic Community Trusts.

Davidson hopes that the funds raised will support both Community Trusts’ to providing a safe and supportive network to help people understand and tackle their mental health issues.

One player who says goodbye is Shane Blaney who arrived from Sligo Rovers in January 2023. The Irish centre-back played over 50 games in the claret and amber, giving 100% every time he crossed the white line.

Amongst the number of loan players returning to their parent clubs, Tony Watt reached 100 games for Motherwell in his final appearance for the club against Kilmarnock. A milestone he should be proud of, we thank him for his efforts over the course of both spells at the club.

It’s never easy to say goodbye to players and we are grateful for their efforts at Motherwell. With 21 first-team players contracted for next season, recruitment will continue during the summer months as we look to towards the beginning of pre-season in June.

The club wishes to thank each player who is leaving for their service and wishes them the very best in their careers.

Following the announcement that Michael Wimmer has departed the club, Chairman Kyrk Macmillan discusses how Wimmer’s departure came about and the reasons for why it happened.

Chairman Kyrk Macmillan has confirmed that the deadline to get your season ticket for the 2025/26 campaign at a discounted price has been extended.

The discount will be available until Friday 20 June at 4pm, the same day when we will discover our 2025/26 Premiership fixtures for the season.

Season ticket holders have until the 1st of July to secure their seat.

We are offering the option of paying your season ticket through a standing order payment each month.

There is the option to pay your season ticket over a maximum of six standing order payments directly to the club, with no interest payments or fees, providing full payment is made by December 2025.

To set this standing order up, you must contact us directly and complete a form.

Fir Park has been recognised as one of two Highly Commended pitches in the 2024/25 Pitch of the Season Award.

After significant investment into installing a brand new hybrid pitch back in the summer of 2022, Motherwell became only the fourth Scottish Premiership club to have a hybrid pitch, following Celtic, Hearts and Rangers’ installations in years previous.

The decision was taken to fix a number of issues that would arise every summer when it came to pitch preparations for the next season.

“This is recognition for all the hard work Alan, Derek and their team put in, on a daily basis, to maintain the playing surface at Fir Park,” Chief Executive Brian Caldwell said.

“It’s great that they have been recognised for their exceptionally hard work. The pitch has been in magnificent condition for the entirety of the season, and that is a credit to their efforts and dedication.

“With the pitches now being monitored by the SPFL’s pitch consultants, Propitch, this has raised the standards of all the grass pitches across the top-flight. There has been significant work and expenditure to achieve and maintain the high standards we have set for our playing surface. It’s great news that this has been recognised.”

“I want to thank Derek Young, James Gray, Steven Drummond and all the staff who help us on matchdays for their continued hard work to maintain the playing surface at Fir Park and at the training facilities,” Head Groundsman Alan Carlin added.

“They work around the clock, all year round, to ensure the players have a professional pitch to play football on at the weekend. I would also like to extend my gratitude to Brian Caldwell and the Executive Board for their continued support, which has allowed me to purchase the correct appliances.

“Although the season is drawing to a close, the work begins to ramp up for us during the off-season. This is the part many people don’t see behind the scenes, and it shows the dedication the staff at the club have to producing a surface they can be proud of. It’s nice for everyone to receive this recognition, as it’s thoroughly deserved.”

On Saturday, the annual Motherwell FC Player of the Year event took place at Dalziel Park Hotel to celebrate the achievements of players within our first-team, Women’s team and Academy. 

The first award of the evening that was up for grabs was the Academy Player of the Year. For his consistency and mature performances, Mikey Booth picked up the award chosen by his coaches. Unfortunately, Booth was unable to attend the event but said in a short video that was played on the evening that he couldn’t wait to get back on the pitch. Speedy recovery, Mikey.

The next award was for the Women’s Player of the Year. Paul Brownlie’s side have had their most successful season since his arrival at the club in 2021. The Women of Steel secured their first-ever top-six finish in the SWPL and also reached the semi-final in the Scottish Cup.

A remarkable campaign for the squad as a whole, but it was Louisa Boyes who picked up the award on the night. The forward has played 26 games this season and scored nine times. The current top goalscorer within the squad, Boyes has been instrumental in the success the team has had in the last 12 months.

The third award of the evening was for the Young Player of the Year. Kai Andrews, Lennon Miller and Ewan Wilson were all nominated in this category. Lennon Miller won the award, having impressed in his second full season of first-team football. The 18-year-old has over 30 appearances thus far in 2024/25, scoring on four occasions.

Motherwell’s youngest ever player became the club’s youngest ever captain in November and even led the team out onto the Hampden turf in the semi-final of the Premier Sports Cup.

Next up, Top Goalscorer. This season, the goals have been spread out amongst the squad, with four players currently on five goals and another on four goals for the season. Tawanda Maswanhise, Apostolos Stamatelopoulos, Callum Slattery and Tom Sparrow shared the prize, with all four players finding the back of the net five times each.

On the subject of goals, Goal of the Season was the next award. After the public had their say, Tawanda Maswanhise returned to the stage to collect the prize for his incredible goal against Rangers in December. Plucking the ball out of the air and swivelling on the ball to beat the defender, he fired into the back of the net to make it 2-0 at the time.

Maswanhsie has had a real impact in his first full season in first-team football. He was a late arrival but made an instant impact against Kilmarnock and quickly became known for his skill, speed and flair. With five goals and three assists, the Zimbabwean has had an impressive introduction to Scottish football, having arrived from Leicester. Paired with his success on international duty by scoring the goal that confirmed Zimbabwe’s spot at AFCON, the winger has his eyes set on another successful campaign next year.

The coaches then had their say for their Player of the Year. Michael Wimmer and his staff chose Lennon Miller as their winner, who picked up his second award of the evening. Starting all eight of Wimmer’s games in charge, the 18-year-old has, by no surprise, caught the eye of the German manager from the off.

The players also got their say on the Players’ Player of the Year. Lennon Miller, Liam Gordon, Andy Halliday, Callum Slattery, Aston Oxborough and Dan Casey all got voted, but in a tight vote, 33-year-old Halliday won the vote by just two votes. Having featured in all 42 games this season, starting in 39 of those, the midfielder has been an ever-present in the Steelmen’s squad this season.

Scoring four goals, including the opener at Hampden, Halliday has been a consistent performer at the heart of the Motherwell midfield.

The coveted Player of the Year prize was the last award of the evening. For the third time, Miller returned to the stage to collect his prize, having comfortably won the public vote. These awards would be followed by a nomination for the PFA Young Player of the Year award, more recognition for one of the finest talents in the country.
