Midfielder Chris Cadden admits that the Steelmen go in to this weekends clash with Hearts “full of confidence”.
The youngster admitted that it will be a tough task though, as they face a good, strong Hearts side who currently sit fourth in the table – five points above Motherwell.
Speaking to the press this morning, Cadden said: “Hearts are a good team, a big team as well, you can see they have quality players as well and they bring through a lot of quality young players.
“It’ll be a tough task for us on Saturday but we’ll go there full of confidence after last week’s performance when I thought we were good, so hopefully we’ll nick something.”

Cadden was part of the team who slumped to a disappointing defeat the last time the Fir Parkers travelled to Tynecastle, but the midfielder insists it will not play a part on Saturday.
He said: “I was on the bench so it was tough to watch. Hearts are tough to play when they hit top form but the last result at Tynecastle won’t have any bearing on this weekend because that was in January and it was two different sides – we had different players and so did they.”
The Steelmen currently sit sixth in the Ladbrokes Premiership, but Cadden made sure to explain that the current table cannot be considered a reflection of how the season will pan out.
He said: “With the league as tight as it is I don’t think you can look at it too much and it’s crazy how tight it is.

“You can’t read in to it too much because every team is capable of beating each other. I don’t think it’s really settled yet other than perhaps Celtic because I think they’ll win the league, but I think there will be a few changes here and there before it settles by around February.”
In recent weeks, the 19-year-old has been joined in the starting line-up by his Youth Cup winning team-mates Jack McMillan and David Ferguson, and Cadden is delighted to see them breaking in to the team.
He said: “It’s been brilliant to see them because I think since they’ve came in they’ve been absolutely brilliant. They work hard and they have good attitudes, they’re all very, very good players and they all deserve their chance.”
He added: “That’s what I say to them because I’ve obviously went through that recently, so I just say to them to take their chance as best they can and I think whenever they’ve come in they’ve done that.”
