Motherwell U19s continued their excellent run of form with an impressive 3-0 away win over St Johnstone.
Both teams were level after an even first-half but it was the Steelmen who broke the deadlock 13 minutes into the second half.
Josh Watt took the corner and his inswinger caught out Saints keeper xxxx who could only punch the ball into his own net. The goal has since been credited to the winger.
Motherwell doubled their advantage from another corner, Watt’s delivery again causing problems, and when Keiran McGachie bundled the ball across the goal, defender Euan Murray was on hand to force it over the line for his third in two games.
Just before the end Motherwell added a third and it again came from a corner kick. Adam Asghar attacked a dangerous near post cross, it bounced down kindly for Keiran McGachie who prodded his ninth of the season into an empty net.
