Dan Casey made over 80 appearances in the League of Ireland and 64 appearances with Sacramento Republic in America before joining Motherwell in February 2023. 

Casey and second division Sacramento went on a remarkable run to the final beating MLS sides, San Jose Earthquakes, Los Angeles and Sporting Kansas before Orlando City beat them in the final of the US Open cup.

Initially only joining until the summer, Casey penned a two-year deal having made an impressive impact for the six months prior.

Born in Dublin, the no nonsense centre-back has represented his country at youth level.
