Summer signing Craig Tanner expressed his hunger for competitive football as he spoke to the broadcast media this morning.
The creative midfielder, who also opened up on settling in to his new surroundings, admitted that nothing comes close to competitive matches.
And with Hampden Park the setting tomorrow afternoon, Craig looked ahead to the season opener.

He said: “I’ve settled in really well and I moved in to a flat on Sunday which I feel makes a big difference because it’s starting to feel more homely. Once you’ve settled off the pitch you can settle on the pitch a lot quicker.
“When I found out that [tomorrow’s] fixture was at Hampden it will be a great honour to play there so I’m looking forward to it and I’ll be happy to be able to tick that off my list.”
He added: “Friendlies are good in the sense that you get to know your team mates, try a few things out and get your fitness levels up, but there’s nothing better than a competitive game.”
